Chinatown Petaling Street in Malay

Petaling Street is a Chinatown located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is famous for clothing and accessories pirated CDs / DVDs, but not openly offer pirated products. Haggling is a common sight here and this place is usually crowded with locals and tourists. This place has dozens of restaurants and food stalls, serving local favorites such as Hokkien mee, grilled fish (grilled fish), tamarind curry laksa and noodles. Traders here mostly from China but there are also Indian, Malay, and Bangladeshi traders.

This was once a highway, since 2003 this road was closed and turned into a pedestrian shopping center. This draws in many tourists who go there to shop and will be considered as a heritage site. Petaling Street is the best place to shop for fake branded products and has a large selection of local Chinese cuisine. For buyers, it is often possible to negotiate the price of items such as watches, clothing and all counterfeit goods.

Near Petaling Street there is such thing as Masjid Jamek, an old mosque with Moorish architecture. Also near the LRT station Kelana Jaya Line Art Market and the Monorail station Maharajalela. And close to the Sri Mahamariamman Temple, Kuala Lumpur, which is located along Jalan Tun HS Lee. This is one of the oldest and wealthiest temples Hindu KL. This place is also bringing many devotees and tourists daily.
