In addition to the Tower of Seoul, Cheonggyecheon River is a favorite picnic spot in the city. Along six kilometers of the river flow is arranged in such a way that there are exciting attractions at every kilometer. Because of its length, this river flows through some of the popular tourist areas such as Dongdaemun.
To achieve the Cheonggyecheon, there are many options subway line. But the station closest to the river’s most attractive locations are dark blue (down at the station Jonggak) or green (down at the station Euljiro il-ga). In addition close to the Cheonggyecheon, close also to the Gwanghwamun Plaza, a wide field with flower beds and fountains are also no less cool to visit.
At the end of the river there is Cheonggye Plaza which is a broad field that is often used as a place of various events, such as music concerts or exhibitions. On one side of the field, there is a slim blue dome which at first glance like a red Christmas tree. The architectural design is named The Spring and is a designer Claes Oldenberg.
Marks the start of the flow of the river is a pool with a fountain that every hour featuring water games. From the pool was also poured a waterfall that continues as the Cheonggyecheon stream.

Restored Cheonggyecheon birthday in 2003 as part of the city greening project. Crossed by 22 bridges and stone steps, cheonggyecheon be an ideal place to relax Seoul residents. At lunch hour, along the river are filled by employees who enjoy building around their lunch.
Many school children also spend time with my friends there. While at night, many families and couples enjoying the romantic atmosphere of lights decorating.
Colorful flowers summer relics were seen along this river Cheonggyecheon. With a cool breeze and clean air, enjoying the sights of interest accompanied by clear streams splashing sound is a luxury for me.
Further down, the wall on the left and right side of the river often feature unique decorations. The closest of The Spring is The Wall of Culture, which displays photos Cheonggyecheon from time to time. Walk a little farther, we can find the location which is where the women wash clothes in the old days.
There is also a wall of hope (Wall of Hope). This wall display about twenty thousand pieces of porcelain ceramic pieces that each contain images and messages of Koreans worldwide (who lives in South Korea, North Korea or outside of Korea) who hoped to unite Korea. The wall stretches 50 meters with a height of two meters is the largest ceramic porcelain wall in the world.
So many designs are installed along the Cheonggyecheon stream, it is not surprising if some parts are often finished filming location Korean dramas and movies. At first glance I could see the stone steps that are used as a filming location Kang Dong Won, “Jeonwoochi”.
